Privacy Policy - Aura

1) Who we are

This Privacy Policy describes how Aura ("Aura", "we", "us", "our") - an internal macOS tool operated by PixelVision Agency - handles information when it interacts with third-party services on our behalf.

2) Scope of this policy

Aura is not a public, downloadable application. It is an in-house production tool used exclusively by PixelVision Agency to discover, filter, and assemble short-form video sequences for our own social media output.

Because Aura has no end users beyond our own team, this policy primarily covers (a) what Aura sends to and receives from third-party APIs we integrate with, and (b) what this web page itself collects from visitors.

3) What Aura processes

When Aura runs locally on a PixelVision workstation it processes:

  • Public short-form video URLs and metadata (title, creator handle, duration) returned by third-party catalogs.
  • Track metadata (title, artist, duration) for songs we use as the audio bed of a sequence.
  • Lyrics text returned by lrclib.net or the Genius API, used to render a karaoke overlay.
  • Local production assets stored on PixelVision's own machines.

Aura does not collect or store information about the public who consume the videos we publish. Any analytics about published videos are surfaced by the platforms we publish to (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram) and are governed by their own privacy policies.

4) Third-party services Aura integrates with

Aura makes outbound API requests to the following third parties. Each service has its own privacy policy that governs data they receive and store on their side.

  • lrclib.net - Free, no-auth lookups for synchronized song lyrics, queried by track title + artist + duration. https://lrclib.net/
  • Genius - Authenticated lookups for plain-text song lyrics, queried by track title + artist. Requires a developer access token issued by Genius. https://genius.com/about/privacy
  • Apple Music / iTunes Search - Public iTunes Search and chart endpoints, used to surface trending tracks. No Apple ID, MusicKit subscription, or user identifier is involved. https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
  • TikTok - Public clip metadata used during the discovery step. Aura uses cookies you provide via a yt-dlp-format cookies file - no TikTok account credentials leave your machine. https://www.tiktok.com/legal/privacy-policy

5) What this web page collects

This page is part of pixelvisionagency.com, which loads Google Analytics in production for aggregate visit metrics. No additional cookies or trackers are set by this page specifically.

Server logs may record your IP address, user agent, and request timestamp for security and abuse prevention. They are not used to build profiles.

6) Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Aura's third-party integrations evolve. Updates are posted to this page and the effective date above is bumped accordingly.
